The objective of this three-month Qual research (15 IDIs, 3 FGDs and 10 LGDs) is to understand the impact of Sabawoon Radio (Govt Radio Station Frequency FM 101.5 & AM 711) on the intervention area, its content delivery and reception of the message on countering violent extremism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA. In addition, appraisal of current program content, execution and delivery against relevant CVE theory of good-practice design of alternative and counter narratives. Gauge the influence Sabawoon had on the preconceived notions of Youth. Understand how much the program made them think differently about extremist beliefs prevalent in their societies. Apprehend Sabawoon’s performance in providing alternative narratives to the society especially in countering gender biases and women subjugation in KP and FATA. Understand how much the program has been successful in promoting a culture of tolerance and coexistence in general masses. Also appraise community outreach of Sabawoon in strengthening rule of law and democratic values.
